For Instagram the best ratio to use for videos is 1:1 this means the video is in a square. Having the video also be in it's native resolution is also fine. An easy way to post your videos in a 1:1 ratio is on the Instagram app. Instagram videos typically want to be under 1 minute long, but they do have the option for longer videos.
